@TeaKayB I missed the vote, but I am leaning towards good. It is costly, but it is also a thing that drives scientific discovery, and it inspires people to dream, and also, the people who have gone on these missions seem to come back changed, lobbying for peace and taking better care of the planet (presumably both from literally seeing the world in a different perspective and from cooperating with an international team) *and* are in a position to do so effectively (as going into space tends to make one somewhat famous).

(Space holidays for rich people are a whole other kettle of fish. Although most rich people *could* probably do with aforementioned shift in perspective.)
