Cows get beef and pigs get pork, but chicken is just chicken.

Cows get beef and pigs get pork, but chicken is just chicken.
What's the deal?
Well, there are hen and rooster.
Not usually used for finished food though
In Italian we have "gallina" (hen) for the broth, and "pollo" for almost everything else when cooked.
