So, #MaineAudubon is no longer putting together #NatureBackpacks for #NatureExploration . However, they were kind enough to share their printed resources as PDFs as well as the lists of items for the different kits (Birding, Insects, Plants, etc) with me. I'll be sharing those resources for the next #SolarPunkSunday (converting the PDFs to JPGs for posting), as well as #ToyLibraries and other kid-related stuff. Then the week after that, I'll be posting about upcoming #EarthDay2026 events! Follow the #SolarPunkSunday hashtag for those topics and much, much more...!
@DoomsdaysCW This feels like something that is *right up* libraries' alley. I wonder if some Maine libraries (or, you know, really anywhere) would want to fill in, especially since Maine Audubon was kind enough to put together a packing list already.
@coral You know, I belong to the Maine Library of Things listserv. That would be a good place to share that information!
@coral Thanks for the suggestion! ❤️
@DoomsdaysCW Thanks for sharing such a great resource around! I think a lot of places will be really interested in it
@coral Well, some of the materials are Maine-based, and would have to be adapted to other locations. But it could give folks ideas on resources to include for their locales.
