Contemplating a character design for an Ampwave (mostly open species created in the VR realm of things). An ampwave seems perfect for CC since they mix and produce music ...but they play alot of percussion instruments. The hand speakers (that Ampwaves use to levitate/fly) might not work for a character that always has drumsticks in thier hand (atop DJ stuff)

I feel like the speakers in the hands would need to be moved or taken off completely, just because CC plays so many instruments that rely on his hands. The hand-speakers would get in the way with every activity he does (including one instrument where he needs to move his hands (with arms and hands unobstructed) in order for the instrument to work properly

@crazy_pony I think an Ampwave fursuit has been done by others. It has to be quite the electronic feat (due to the very nature of Ampwave lore) ! :)

@crazy_pony Yeah. The Ampwave species seems like it originated from the VR chat/3d avatar world. Its an open species so there is room to play a bit with some of the aspects of thier anatomy

The reason Im plexxing on the hands and arms right now just relates to practicality and dexterity of hand/arm movement bc of the speakers.

@Catwoman69y2k my technical engineering brain sees that small (high-dispersion) speakers moving around with the hands are acoustically located as points from which sounds originate, so waving hands creates sound shapes without actually walking around

@crazy_pony Yeah. I understand how the speakers in the hands could make it possible to fly. Lore also suggests they can travel thru space or time using thier hand speakers.

Now, I do like the idea and concept so I dont really wanna outright remove the speaker hands...but I just wonder how this character design works when so many tasks/actions are done with one's hands. Like how would CC hold drumsticks or twist knobs on thier mixer ? )when the speakers would likely get in the way of lots of types of tasks.

Maybe I could add in artistic liscense and make CC have panels that close over the jand speakers when not in use...and hopefully prevent the speakers from becoming squished or broken when CC holds onto soemthing or grabs something). I guess the hand speakers are not practical, overall
