Okay, so this is just curiosity, but does anyone else out there have what I will call "Minecraft Syndrome"? That is to say, the problem of things being TOO open-ended? Like, you ask someone, "So what should I do?" And all they can say is, "Whatever you want to do!" as though it's a good thing, but then you just wind up doing nothing because you have the option of doing anything. Or is this just a "me" thing?

@rez it depends how open ended the options are but a trick I've been applying myself is to just do whatever the first thing that came to mind or first example was. if I have 3 options and none are better I just do the first one. if I'm picking from a long list and like something I don't even need to finish the list necessarily.

ofc with like really really important decisions I end up not following that advice because I'm scared. and with vague instructions my problem isn't deciding it's that I'm sometimes just so bad at coming up with a concrete solution at all

@tlapka Ah, I feel that one. Sometimes you just shoot.

I feel like I often fall into that second pattern. I either ā€œknowā€ the answer, or I can’t come up with anything. No in between for me. I’ve managed okay in life so far, mind you, but I hope to improve on this point… somehow.

Maybe more notes and a more thoughtful approach to things… which sounds suspiciously like work.
