There is few more satisfying things to me than starting up an old #lanz #tractor... This is a pre diesel one cylinder hot bulb engine and the whole process takes 15 minutes...

You heat the head of the cylinder red hot with a blowtorch, that's the ignition source for the motor. And then you just spin the motor round. You don't use a dedicated crank, no... you detatch the steering column with the wheel and stick it into the side...

Sadly those old indestructible engines cost as much as a house now...
