If the damage he was doing was limited to his own country, it’d be tragic. But the fact that he’s a clear and present threat to the entire world, yet is sane-washed and normalized by media everywhere, regardless of his actions…that’s infuriating.
It’s definitely not easy. You want kids to feel secure and happy in the world, and it’s difficult to find a path to a peaceful and secure future for anyone right now.
I’m incredibly thankful my husband and I have been doing our best to be engaged with geopolitics throughout that time, because otherwise we’d feel like we’re going crazy. Imagine if you were in a coma since, I dunno…just before the BREXIT vote…and then woke up to this reality. It would be so confusing…
