I've decided to test out Alpine Linux as a desktop OS. Given the state of things <gestures vaguely in the direction of nazis and slop> I've got to ask:

Is there any good reason not to?

@svabonius None have been ruled out as such. I'n quite happy with Arch on a day to day basis.

The Alpine stack just seems interesting and it's apparently EU-based as well.

@taf Every time I start from an Alpine docker image and try to add stuff I end up regretting it. I love that it exists and I can get really small images but I prefer not to fiddle with it.
