James GleickI don't think “emboldened" is the right word for this obscene and racist tirade. Perhaps one or more of the following:
Frenzied.
Violent.
Frustrated.
Enraged.
Berserk.
The Times doesn't know what to say about “Praise be to Allah," so it says nothing.
I suppose they could say, “adding a racist taunt to his obscene threat to commit war crimes against a civilian population.”
