After successful tank dump the space toilet is now open for peepee and poopoo. It had been restricted to fecal deposits only to save space when holding tank venting was not working. Urination was done in in "contingency" plastic bags. The bags later ejected.

The drain had been frozen, a tilt of the craft to get more sun on the area thawed it out and a successful dump of their dumps was acheived.

The toilet drama has been even more interesting than the launch!

@SecularJeffrey so we’re polluting outer space now. Great.

@stevenray @SecularJeffrey always have been. Scattering pee droplets far and wide, whacking golf balls around the moon and dumping electric buggies there.. plus American flags of course so you know who desecrated it first.

Geostationary orbit also has “graveyard” orbits nearby where dead satellites go to wait out the next few millennia. It’s easier than providing enough fuel to de-orbit them.

I’m pretty sure the extreme environment in space will rip apart urea molecules into smaller constituents and water’s always useful somewhere so it’s probably a nothingburger really

@ozeng @SecularJeffrey much of that was my assumption, but it’s disappointing nonetheless. 🙁
