Kentaro Kobayashi was hit by a truck and killed. He found himself in a heavenly setting, standing before a beautiful woman.
"My name is Pai," the woman said. "I am an isekai goddess. This means you have been chosen for a new life in another world."
"Cool!" Kentaro exclaimed. "Then I'll be an isekai hero?"
The goddess frowned. "Hero? Who said anything about heroes? You're getting a second life, why can't you be happy with that?"
"It's traditional," said Kentaro, "for the isekai'd person to become a hero and get incredible powers...."
"Look at the isekai expert!" the goddess sneered. "Who's the goddess here, you or me? Kid, literally EVERYONE wants to be a hero these days. Everyone wants a harem, everyone wants godlike powers and abilities. Even in an infinite universe there aren't enough worlds for every would-be hero to get one of their own. You'll get an ordinary second life, and you'll like it!"
