Yes, my quilting machine is repaired. Yes, I have a couple quilt tops ready for quilting. I even had one on the frame, ready to start.

Why, you ask, is it not quilted yet?

Because, I answer, the backing fabric was not cut straight, and was dipping down first on one side, then on the other, as I wound it onto the frame. Which, of course, I hadn't noticed before I got everything on the frame ready to quilt.

@lisamakesstuff this is the #1 problem I have with my longarm, too. I swear it's not the backing fabric that's wrong, it's the fabric of space-time warping in the area right over my machine
@inarticulatequilter To make sure I was getting a "true" grain, I actually ripped about 8-10 inches (it was REALLY cut off-square!) from each side. Luckily, it was way bigger than what I needed. It's better, and I hope to get the thing quilted today.
