We have been. We live mainly on Social Security and get by day to day, but couldn't afford a car payment, let alone a down payment. But my husband's health issues have gotten better so he's been trying to get another contract job. If he finds something we might swing it eventually.

In europe we have to challenge with prices like 7.35 $ for many many years. The current price for petrol is up in germany to 9.49 $ a gallon.
For people living in rural regions really challenging.
EVs are rare, expensive and there is no infrastructure, esspecially in rural Ireland.
People should get a loan and grant from the government for purchasing an EV.
We have to get rid of our dependency from that big oil f***ers.
