Sunday listen is #ProjectHailMary, and aside from being a wonderfully read SciFi book, it's also a kind of funny confirmation of my hypothesis, that bc a #Verdrängungsgesellschaft cannot face #collapse directly, it must engage with it by reading it through popular culture.

Take the collapse-timeline (spoiler!): from the start of the action to "large scale crop failure" & "mass dieoffs" it's barely 20 years, after 10 years, significant effects will already show.

THAT's the real collapse timeline, much more realistic than our climate discourse.
