Had a good day making and fixing. My daughter brought her espresso machine over because it had stopped esspressing, after undoing about a million screws I finally found the four screws that you actually needed to undo to get to the guts and found a very obvious cause. The pressure relief pipe from the steamer had come undone, probably because it was clogged with gunk, and the steam and water had corroded the contacts on the pump. I was able to grind back the metal and plastic enough to give me a chance to solder on a lead and new spade terminal. Then I unclogged the steam pipe, and it's working perfectly. Kinda surprised how simple the workings of an espresso machine are TBH. Next, the 3D printer that I got for fiddy bucks on farcebook marketplace 1/2

When I got it the people said that they couldn't find the power supply, and the one they had would power it up, but when the X axis was moving it would shudder, freeze and make a heap of noise. I've had that happen on my semi-home made 3D printer (that hasn't worked for years because I modded it to the point of destruction), but the problem was a dodgy connection to the stepper motor.
Anyway I got a beefier 24V supply, and yep, same same. So once again I undid about a million screws until I discovered the four actual screws I needed to undo to get to the guts of it, and saw the problem right away: one of the wires on the X axis plug on the motherboard was not connected.
So now I have an actually working 3 Dee printer, please, send thoughts and prayers.

@stib I'd like to order three Ds, please.
@stib Both fixes came about via undoing 4 screws!
@cogdog
The trick was knowing which four.
