@cadence022 I guess society/donald trump's version of it, finally decided it had enough of disabled. I'm thinking the whole world is going in that direction...In South Africa not that bad yet, but...Some meds I used to get for free under chronic medications act, that act has been scrapped...and now we pay for it with the little income we get after being retrenched. They want us to simply go away. But due to, or perhaps inspite of, our disabilities, we are more resiliant than they know. Some of us might give up, like the ableds want, but most of us are too stubborn perhaps...having struggled our whole lives through, to just quit, or die, like they want us to.
@Sozhami they do seem like they want us to go away. medicine for sleeping. ot covered by medicaid, and I can't get the doctor to actually give me the proper amount of the stuff because "I don't like that medicine" which is apparently an acceptable reason now. migraine pills? $80. at least, without tax. for 9 of them. items that balance out my sugar? have to pay for those, because "managing obesity in america" apparently. 112 pounds and 5-6, yet I have to struggle. fuckin trumpty.
@cadence022 Tehisorries. Afrikaans people often say: The wheel turns...but I wonder to who's benefit does it turn...or if it even turns. At the moment life is chaos, and so much more for you folks in america who suddenly became incapable of supporting yourselves due to trump and his chronies, like Robert F Kenedy, He is not a doctor, and not a scientist either, yet he thinks to take essential medicine away from those who struggles with chronic conditions, will Quote...Make America Healthy Again...Unquote...Yet worldwide people get disabled because of different circumstances, the one I heard on the news yesterday upset me quite a lot, for the individual was not born disabled...Irresponsible people in hospitals made them paralized/have Cerebral Palsy by oxygen starvation. The hospital was forced to pay an amount which I forgot...but what justice is that. It only helps the parents pay for the child's care for a while. It does not undo the disability. I would have called it justice if the disability could have been undone by the money that was payed...but it can't. I still wish I could import you to SA...but the heat here would not be good for you. Still, At the moment at least, Disableds are still honored for the most part. Yes, worldwide we're sort of shunned, but I'm beginning to see more and more of us abroad suffering for no reason other than that people who have no medical or scientific knowledge, just decide that certain stuff can't be gotten through medicaid for disableds/the poor, and that makes me angry. I would help if I could, but paypal in South Africa charges a huge amount for Rand to Dollar conversion, due to the tarrifs put on us by the very man who causes you to be more ill than you could have been, if you could get the right medicine.
