If they spent the next ten years growing wind and solar farms etc we would be much more sustainable
@Christo_459 @wood5y don't forget strengthening the grid, storage and electrifying consumption (EVs, rail electrification, heat pumps etc).
@wood5y it's absolutely pointless. The output will be owned by private companies. They'll sell it at market rate. And as it'll make only a fraction of a percent difference to global production, it won't make a dent in demand or cost. The only benefactors are the fossil fuel companies (that pay very little tax). And the politicians that take their backhanders.
