I really wish #Jellyfin had more robust playlist editing. All I want to do is manually select a range of tracks from a list and add them into a playlist. I can't find any way to do that without adding them one by one. πŸ˜•

@operationpuppet

I think the Android app is better than the web interface at muli-select options. But I am not sure it's actually improving things to "good at that"

@operationpuppet jellyfin has bulk editing issues!
@alisynthesis @operationpuppet I am considering switching Navidrome for music πŸ€”
@bitbonk @alisynthesis I hadn’t heard of Navidrome but I’m going to poke Docker today! Thanks!
@operationpuppet @bitbonk @alisynthesis Seconding Navidrome. Music in Jellyfin feels like an afterthought.

@lunarloony @bitbonk @alisynthesis

Thank you for making me aware, Navidrome looks like exactly what I want! Cheers!

@bitbonk @operationpuppet i set it up and tried it, and am considering going back to it. Jellyfin is working, but its music metadata issues are pretty epic.
@operationpuppet No one seems to care about playlists, either editing or playing back. Is it too much to ask to be able to just shuffle a full playlist with repeat? #Plex can’t do it, @jellyfin can’t do it, @infuse can’t do it.
@endareth @operationpuppet @jellyfin @infuse
Not really sure what you mean you cant do, or why. I use playlist and shuffle it, with plex every day. It works with videos and music as expected.
@uffeb Apple TV client specifically, I rarely watch vids on my phone. None of the three are capable of setting a full playlist to shuffle on repeat. Can either shuffle OR loop, but not both. Plex used to be capable before they removed the remote player control functionality. Infuse can’t handle large playlists.
@operationpuppet I'm looking at Navidrome. It appears to be a strictly music streaming daemon
@ena Yep some helpful folks here pointed me towards it and I got it running yesterday. It’s a little bare bones but definitely an improvement on Jellyfin for music, and a breeze to spin up in Docker. Can recommend.
