@juergen_hubert Once, many years ago, I enjoyed the best risotto ever high up in the Capanna Adula UTOE. We arrived for a summer hike to the Rheinwaldhorn and stayed overnight in the cabin. The warden cooked a risotto for around 50 people in a giant copper cauldron, with a huge wooden spoon, stirring the risotto, sweat dripping from his forehead into the cauldron. It was served with Saltimbocca veal and sage. I think we had a bottle of local Merlot wine with it. It was the best meal ever at 2300m+
We then climbed Rheinwaldhorn the day after, and hiked down the enormously long valley towards Hinterrhein. After 5-6 hours in the heat, crossing a Swiss army artillery range, we were rewarded with a working Coca Cola vending machine.
