Think I’ll be giving up on #Marathon

I gave into it, got good, could go in solo naked with a knife, take out a player or two, complete a mission, extract.

Sometimes.

Rarely did I have a good round with a random crew.

Seeing what it takes to beat the boss, with all that high-level gear and coordination… nah, not for me; young man’s game.

The original Marathon (and indeed, Halo) was great for having a team fight alongside you

There’s moments of this with intense PvE firefights in Cryo, but…

Putting a 5K gear entrance requirement is such a weird gambling mechanic, makes it inaccessible, and still the risk of PVP elimination.

Just let us gang up on the Phfor and the S’phit guns blazing side-by-side like old times, instead of this too-close-to-the-bone setup of all of us being corporate shills.

Anyway, #marathon, I wish you all the best and will watch from afar.
