He did calls w/at least 2 journos.
Then at 4:10, WH called a lid and claimed he'd been focused on Iran all day.
I don't know whether the WH just took half a day to figure out they should stop ignoring the possibly dead possibly captured guy in Iran, or whether they started to figure out that w/FOUR aircraft hit meant they were wildly over optimistic.
At which point they started to play grown-up.
