In this case it comes from a speaker of the language of a nation with a hard-earned reputation for rudeness and arrogance. Sadly, I have on Mastodon had several unpleasant encounters with people determined to boost that reputation. So now I respond to such hostility with a firm #Bye, and a block

If it takes being open to considering others rights to exist...
If it makes them feel uncomfortable...
Or....
If it's something open, inclusive, harmless, unique & beautiful, but needs protecting, supporting and allying...
