#RadRide at auction today! Sure, we loved our Legnum, but here's the sedan version for folks who prefer a three-box: A 97 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Type S! The Evo took over rallying, so these became tech halo cars. 4WD, Active Yaw Control & twin turbo for 305 horses! DM for interest or to bid! #JDM
@tikibunnyimports I loved Galant as a kid. How much do these go for nowadays?
@i the Legnum was $8100 shipped, so this'll likely be about that!
@i @tikibunnyimports what a class car

@Cali @i @tikibunnyimports the Galant VR-4 Type-S (EC5A) intentionally sat just below the Diamante, which picked up a 270HP version of the 3.0 6G72, and above the EA4A with the 2.0L 6A12 MIVEC with a very respectable 197HP.

Kind of.

Officially, the 6A13TT makes 255-260HP in the Galant, depending on the literature.
Officially.
I don't know where people got the 305HP number from though, except maybe Wikipedia?

This is a VR-4 Type S manual.
That's about how much TORQUE they make.

@rootwyrm @i @tikibunnyimports that’s a lot of poke for the age/weight of that car.. nice!
@Cali @i @tikibunnyimports it's also light; EC5A's typically come in at 2950lbs. However, they are NOT for amateurs to even think about tuning. The 6A13TT is MUCH more insane than the 6A12 and requires an experienced hand who is familiar with it's unusual behavior.
I don't know any Japanese tuners that have ever done anything with it, because it does not play nice, fair, or gentle.
