Anyone got any alternatives to FurAffinity and DeviantArt, with respect to posting images and photos?

#furry centric is fine, but would prefer somewhere that is OK with non-furry (e.g. #kigurumi) pics as well.

And 100% *NO* sites that offer ANY form of AI.

@morrigankig sadly no idea since i mostly use social media for psoting my art to then deidcated art uploading sites. never used sites like that personally
@GlitchGhost While I technically could also use Mastodon for that , I would be here for months posting my content xD. Thanks for the reply nonetheless! It is appreciated ๐Ÿพ
@morrigankig while hey you gotta do what you gotta do. ive done a bit of site hopping in the past years where i had to repost all my work one at a time, but im a smaller artist so i can understand for people that have a lot more work to post so i get what you mean. you're welcome and no problem. i followed since you were a helluva boss fan but the cosplay stuff you boost is cool too. rock on man!

@morrigankig I'd suggest looking into itaku.ee

They have a firm stance against genAI in their rules list, yet they also state no explicit or suggestive IRL photos.

@foxyloon I definitely will, though their "suggestive photos", some of my photos might potentially fall foul off, but I shall investigate that, thank you! ๐Ÿพ
@morrigankig
pillowfort.social is fine, if you want to post whatever, but everything is arranged like browsing someone's tumblr site rather than the gallery site format.
@robatdteufel Sort of reminds me of Micro.blog too. Thanks, shall add to my list of things to check into deeper

@morrigankig Weasyl still exists, but I don't know how much traffic it gets these days. Same for Sofurry. Not sure how either of them handle photos though.

Aside from that, maybe a Pixelfed instance? Could also set up your own personal website on some hosting somewhere with one of the CMS kits like Wordpress or Grav if you're not averse to building it out yourself.

@dekafox I did ponder with setting up a pixelfed instance, but couldn't get one working xD

Guess I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to that sorta thing.

@morrigankig ArtUntamed? I know of it, but haven't looked closely at it.
@vextaur I shall take a look, thank you for the suggestion : ๐Ÿพ

@morrigankig it is okay to post human art on FA though, I think the expectation is that you're just somehow part of the fandom and obv you're networking with furries there.

A quite different place meant for game/other industry art is cara, which seems pretty good.

@Neotheta I am already on FA, but its interface really isn't the best and it's had its fair share of controversies.

I'm only really there because some of the people I follow are either there or DA, and DA being all-in on AI isn't a site I probably want to hang around on too much.

As for Cara, that's another site I shall take a look at, thanks for the suggestion : ๐Ÿพ
