I'm blocked, which causes real wreckage in a Mastodon context (I expect NodeBB to handle things much more effectively); I'm stumbling across hidden fragments―completely out of context―days later as a direct result of the wreckage; and I'm certain that the block would not have occurred if sloppy misinformation had not been committed to the so-called "Open Slopware" site.
I can't be angry with the people who propagated the misinformation.
I am angry about the wastes of time, and space, caused by the seeding before propagation; the offending commit to the "Open Slopware" repo. The loose cannon sarcastic side of me likes to think that the offence could have been avoided if they had used AI as part of their somewhat closed-minded review process.
Open source to spread misinformation, or disinformation, is open source at its worst.
