My #XteinkX4 finally arrived! And I already flashed it with Crosspoint Reader and connected it to both my OPDS library (Calibre Web Automated running in Docker on my NAS) as well as my KOsync Server (KO Insight, also hosted on my NAS).
The case I printed last week also works great! So now I can always have an e-reader with me and have one less reason to grab my phone and end up doom scrolling! 👍
PS: I blame @concretedog for this acquisition but am actually thankful for the nerd snipe ^^
@foosel @concretedog Interesting! I also discovered that thing yesterday. Did you also check the X3? If so, why did you go for the X4 instead?
Curious how user-friendly reading long texts on this smol thing is.
(As you can see I need arguments against buying that smol cutie 🥺)
@stdevel X3 seemed a tad too small, and doesn't have USBC.
Will try to report back on the suitability for reading.
But frankly, if it should not work out for reading, it'll be a good display for home automation stuff ^^
