You post this and got me thinking it's not unusual for professional musicians to enjoy music that's not in their wheelhouse. Al Jourgensen - industrial/metal band Ministry - listens to classical Country and Western when not in the studio; Hank Williams, for example.
So then I discover Yo-Yo Ma really likes a bluegrass band called Nickel Creek and then I discover I really like Nickel Creek too, lol.
