@GhostOnTheHalfShell while generally true in GOP politics and in DNC politics 1972-1992, ever since the 1996 cycle the party has dictated the candidate from the outset. In 2008, Obama was a "surprise," but if you read the reporting about that, the party leadership picked Obama early on, Hillary just didn't get the memo. When Howard Dean dared run against Kerry, the party got Clear Channel to air "the scream" pieces on shitty classic rock stations with no DJ normally. The DNC cheats every cycle.
Yeah, I think the thing is Gavin couldnβt win, but the Democratic Party seems to have a taste for deliberately losing.
Tim Walz is a better fit, even though heβs pretty long in the tooth himself. But Gavin is just the greasiest slime ball.
