My Yamaha Sy77 needs some love after developing a fault. I repair and connect to the Amiga to have some creative multitimbral fun: Watch here and enjoy: https://youtu.be/-AD0rKLrAMc

@MsMadLemon I'm sad to hear that — and actually surprised, too. I don't think I've ever had any Yamaha equipment break down in my whole life.

I have had an SY85 for thirty years, and near the beginning of that period it got filled with rain water in a mountain storm in Slovakia... and it still works fine, which is pretty impressive.

@macronencer It's all right, I fixed it in the video, connected it to the Amiga and had fun with it again. 🙂
The Sy85 working after getting filled with rain water is crazy, but indeed Impressive. It goes to show the old Yamaha equipment, especially the Sy series here and also the DX7, are built like tanks! Then again most things like this from the 80s are.

Your SY85 will probably need a little love and care though because of it's age, then i'm sure it'll keep going for another 30-40 years.

@MsMadLemon I certainly hope so. It does make some sounds that I can't imagine getting from anything else :) I should probably get it checked soon for any issues with capacitors or onboard batteries. I'm not really an electronics guy but I know certain things sometimes happen with old devices.
