"Dave"
@eivind πŸ™‚
@CiaraNi It's not a very serious-sounding name. No one's gonna strap down their outside furniture and trampolines because Dave's coming.
@eivind No, they're not :-)
@CiaraNi @eivind I was under the impression that storms were always named after women? Is that different in Europe?
@SimonCHulse As long as they're named after Anglos, I don't think we care if they're men or women :) @CiaraNi

@SimonCHulse That used to be the case, yes. But now* they alternate between names for men and women.

*i think this started somewhere in the past 25 years

@lrt_writes @eivind It's a compliment to Daves. Daves are always nice. A Dave wouldn't wreck our garden furniture. Dave would come around the day after the storm and help us clean up :-)
@CiaraNi @eivind I agree 😊
@lrt_writes @eivind Dave is going to be busy today, round here (Denmark) at any rate, the way the gale winds are working up to hurricane gusts.
@CiaraNi Fucker brought us April snow! @lrt_writes
@eivind @lrt_writes Bloody Dave. We thought he was so reliable, now look what he's up to.
@CiaraNi very un-Dave-like behavior, this 😑 @lrt_writes
