Not nobody. "Internet Infrastructure Availability in System Evolution and Decay" is the working title of my dissertation.

But I admit I am a small, mostly lone voice in this field outside a few who find or rediscover vulnerabilities in old systems (e.g., old v6 tunneling mechanisms have gotten some attention).

@jtk @alaneyue Well, yes, there’s a bit of hyperbole there by the author. There ARE people doing that excavation. There are groups funding some of this work. There are individuals like yourself working on it. So it’s not actually “nobody” but more like “very few people”.

And… very cool that that is your dissertation! Best wishes with that work.
