What blows my head off again is this part here: https://youtu.be/eweMlWewcVg?t=390
It's the same frikin' division stupidity. #Linux #foss #opensource the so called #chaos community, the #ccc people are so incapable to collaborate these days.

It's all about elbows into your face. Not unity, but division. Not collaboration but splits about minor details. How is anything supposed to get better this way?

@phantasus I looked at the segment around 6:30min but didn't hear anything about the Chaos community? Sounds like one entity was taken over by idiot suits who don't actually care about FOSS if Collabora is to be believed. That's as far away of any issue related to the Chaos or FOSS maintainer beef as it gonna gets.

@Natanox The reference to the chaos community was more my own resentment about that community. It seems that I haven't made that clear enough. This was about any progressive movement, who is basically eating itself.

And why the "bad guys" win. The bad guys win big time.

@Natanox @phantasus If Collabora is believed, yes. If other people are to be believed the issue is that a licensing in good faith of the LibreOffice brand for online products could have led to the TDF to lose its charitable status in Germany, which would have been quite bad. But since collabora used their influence in the board to block decisions the TDF had to resort to a legal dispute, and also enforcing the collabora cannot control the TDF while the dispute is going on.

This reasoning sounds to me much more plausible than the press releases by collabora.

@phantasus So which one is the 'cool, hot' thing to use now? idk, but im not really smarter after the vid 🫣
