The book I was reading was from collected notes from someone’s relative who lived from 18something to 1947. Recipes, weird mix of belief of old wives tales and mocking other ones as clearly wrong, general thoughts and opinions. Quite liberal on thoughts of sex (clearly had engaged in lesbian sex themselves I reckon). Very anti monarchist and the power of the church. Many bits I thought were worth sharing but none more so than this given the time of year.
