Gretna East admins pulled a student journalist’s cartoon about ICE. Now, students are looking to change district policy

The school’s student journalists are fighting to appeal administrators’ decision. With the support of the Student Press Law Center, students are asking for a clearer board policy on student journalist expression. Gretna Public Schools administrators say they’ve offered solutions and the newspaper must remain “balanced.”
