qurlyjoeI was just watching an old QI collection of segments about death. #til The Ouija Board™️ was patented as a parlor game, unrelated to the occult, in 1891. An American spiritualist started using it as a divining tool during WWI. There are apparently people doing actual research with them who are pissed about the occult connection. It’s a tool to help you figure out stuff, analogous to casting the I Ching, I think.

@qurlyjoe @timo21 not only that, the Ouija board was invented here in #Baltimore, where you can visit the grave of the inventor, whose headstone is itself a Ouija board!
