I learned something new about Sjogren's disease today.

I've known all along that all-over body pain is a hallmark symptom of it. What I did not realize is that joint pain -- especially in tendons -- is a very common part of the Sjogren's experience.

I'm currently being treated by 5 doctor specialists for various parts of the body all reporting their own tendinitis. Each doctor is doing their own corticosteroid injections, home exercises, physical therapy, supplements, and follow up visits. Frankly, it's gotten very overwhelming! And it doesn't help that all of this is dramatically affecting my quality of life and even mobility.

I'm excited to learn that my rheumatologist should be able to lead the way instead all of this "noise" from various specialists.

@AncTreat5358 holy crap, seriously? This would explain A LOT. I moved away from the old rheumatologist awhile ago, need to find a new one asap.

@dasparky Yes, it is definitely true! There is credible professional sources across the world attesting to it.

I hope you can find a great rheumatologist. I had to go through more than four over 30 years to get my current one that knows Sjogren's very well. Previous rheumatologists dismissed the diagnosis out of hand. And she is otherwise an amazing doctor, who listens and collaborates.

She's in Colorado, so I don't think a referral to her would be useful to you. Unless you like long road trips every 6 months! 😆

Good luck! ❣️

@AncTreat5358 lol! yeah, that'd be one heck of a road trip. But you're very kind to reply, and thanks for the well wishes, seriously. I was diagnosed with both Sjogren's and RA (ankylosing spondylitis) a long time ago, but the RA doc really didn't do much about the Sjogren's. When I told her about the tendon pain, she'd say "come in when it flares", but she was always booked solid, so it never got seriously looked after. Thank you again for posting.
@dasparky You are very welcome. Thx for sharing your story.
