@TrueBlue4THREE Awww I chose Hyacinth from amongst the choices but I also love Lily of the Valley and Japanese Honeysuckle and Lilac which arrive later in but still within #Spring

@robini71

Those are all Great choices ~ it is hard to pick a favorite! As for me, I just love, love, love Crocuses!! Happy Spring to you, Robin & Happy Easter too; if you celebrate❣💝

@TrueBlue4THREE Thank you I do celebrate it and I wish the same to you and yours also. Do Crocuses have a scent?

@robini71

THANK YOU! Of the crocus flowers I've been around, I've never noticed a scent; I just did a quick search before replying to you though & apparently, there ARE some choice varieties that DO have a lovely scent. Guess I've just been around the more common ones, but I still love them☺

@TrueBlue4THREE I'm glad they bring you joy. I wish I had anything that smelled like Hyacinth this week. A friend of mine and I always used to buy them every Easter Tide. We don't have contact any more because she has Dementia. So I suppose she doesn't remember so I'll have to remember for both of us.

@robini71

I feel for you with your friend's dementia ~ my oldest brother is in the end stages of it. Absolutely TERRIBLE disease, not that any disease is good; it's just that the person who has dementia is not the same person Ever Again in any shape or form.
Very Glad you have happy memories of your friend to cherish, as I do of my brother.

@TrueBlue4THREE Awwww I'm so sorry and I echo the sentiment right back to you.
@TrueBlue4THREE Well, isn't this fascinating. I learned something new today. Thank you for teaching me something by inspiring me to search. "Crocus scent varies from light, delicate floral aromas reminiscent of warm spring wind to rich, spicy, and woody notes, particularly in varieties like
(saffron). The scent is often described as honey-sweet, featuring notes of saffron, juniper berries, wood, and sometimes hints of leather, incense, or
citrus."

@robini71

Great information ~ We both learned something New which is always a good thing😉
