@Doctor_J_ As a long-time XTC fan I was so thrilled with this album - 'River of Orchids' is one of their best songs. And then they had to release 'Wasp Star', alas.

@flockofnazguls I remember hearing River of Orchids before the album came out on a CD from Uncut magazine and I was psyched. I’ve just listened to the last three songs, blimey, what a trio. If they had needed XTC there, that would have been a high point. Wasp Star isn’t bad, but it’s definitely a poorer sibling of volume one.
