Sawdust is an excellent mulch! Apply a 2.5 cm (1 in) layer on moist soil to reduce evaporation, retain moisture, and suppress annual weeds. It also prevents weed seeds from germinating. Just ensure it’s well-aged or add nitrogen to prevent nutrient deficiency in the short term. #GardeningTips #Mulch
@vegplotter and it eats your nitrogen for breakfast... it's less bad as mulch then if you put it into the ground but you can just do woodchips instead...
