@edchivers It is a far-right crank position. The kind of thing that only libertarians and small-government loons ranted about.

A *lot* of Republican pols will appalled by it. Much of Trump's "base" will be flabbergasted.

Note in the article that the White House staff has tried to backpedal on this.
