The juxtaposition between “if you use AI you are worse than a pedo” people vs “I have uploaded my brain into openclaw” people is wild.

The rest of us are somewhere in the middle trying to figure it out.

I do have to say the openclaw lunatics certainly seem to be having a lot more fun (as their bots happily delete their Time Machine backups). While those who sneer and look down on anyone using ai just seem like your normal internet assholes.

@schwa I think if your livelihood/art has already been effectively eliminated by it, while those who hated that those things required stinky human bodies somewhere in the mix delightedly cheer from the sidelines, it’s probably harder to be entirely chipper about it. ‘If only this wasn’t quite so relentlessly evil from its training through operational necessities right on to who and what it’s targeting’, isn’t an ideal place to start the opinion-forming stage from.

@dmcgk I'd assume most people decrying other folks using AI have _not_ had their livelihood/art eliminated. The vast majority infact. We're seeing crazy layoffs in tech for example - but most of that is _not_ coming from AI (yet?) - despite whatever it's being blamed on.
