After years relying only on social feeds, I’m going back to reading blogs via RSS on my laptop using NewsFlash on GNOME. πŸ“°

I was honestly surprised to find that some blogs I usually read still don’t provide a feed in 2026. πŸ™ƒ

If you self host your blog and write about Open Source, Python, Django, Linux or similar topics, please add an RSS/Atom feed. Otherwise people like me simply won’t know when you publish. πŸ’‘

Please boost. πŸ™

Welcome aboard ✌️

@jdsalaro @gnome thanks. I used to use feed years ago and now I'm doing it again. So I'm coming back aboard. πŸ˜…
@paulox @gnome I've had great success emailing blogs that I follow directly and asking if they'd consider publishing an RSS feed. My success rate is around 80-90%, especially where I receive a response back :)
@sethmlarson @gnome thanks for sharing your suggestion. It's something that I personally already do. I'm here trying to reach as many bloggers I can with the help of the Fediverse community 😊
@paulox @gnome unfortunatly Firefox ditched RSS support, so Marking it as "legacy". Resulting in PR folks ignoring vor disabling it
@blub @gnome I haven't noticed that. We can open an issue and ask Firefox to add it again.
@paulox I have many feeds including my own self generated and cover many tech topics. https://www.adamsdesk.com/follow/

@adamsdesk Great idea to list all your feed. πŸ‘
@paulox Thank you. I feel it's important to communicate all available options instead of the typical you know if you know approach.
