Prison officials continue to dodge calls, contradict each other, and refuse to say where Malik is or why.

@alissaazar @janeishly Oddly, I have been telling people for a long time that changes to the law during the Obama administration make it currently legal for the US to seize someone, hold them _forever_, and deny them access to courts and lawyers. They are allowed to deny they have them in custody.

The President just declares them an "enemy combatant". No judicial review, no definition of that, and it applies to citizens.

Sen. Diane Feinstein called it "Indefinite Preventative Detention".
