People who are going to #emf2026 and enjoy making #hexpansion and/or synths - I seem to be coordinating a collective effort to make a #eurorack compatible modular synth in #hexpansion form.

If that sounds like the kind of thing you might enjoy being part of, please let me know.

@jarkman super interested, very limited electronics design experience but a lot of enthusiasm?
@swift @jarkman any interest in the software side?
@jarkman sounds interesting, not too familiar with analogue electronics but I know how to make a mini drum from a piezoelectric sensor
@jarkman I knew I should have put a 3.5mm jack on the DECTalk hexpansion!
@fridgehead :-) can we have a socket on a fragile dangly wire?
@jarkman I see you’ve encountered my aesthetic before
@fridgehead I'll pack a glue gun.
@jarkman very very interested. I’ve been *attempting* to wear some form of modular synth at EMF for almost a decade now. This is the first outing of the synth hat in 2018…

@jarkman I did take a quick look at the hexpansion spec, to see if a DAC + headphone out would be easy enough to cobble together for a Kicad beginner referring to MI schematics, but gave up after seeing just 3.3v.

I've already got enough to do before EMF, soldering 5 modules (2 SMD) and building a 4Ux62hp case out of Penn-Elcom extrusions, as an upgrade from the one the Workshop System comes in.

o/ @Gogledd fancy seeing a fellow Wiggle Roomer on fedi ;)

@NaomiElizabeth @jarkman Oh hey! It is a small world on the internet, huh? :D
