When I was at Microsoft, the Decentralized Identity team (used in a lot of digital wallets, not just Bluesky) often cited nominally zero-knowledge proofs of age as a major use case. The “zero knowledge” bit always seemed shaky. Like if all the infrastructure for signer and verifier are on the same vendor…
