Welp, I may be in the market for a new car. Pitch me on your EV or Hybrid.
I would buy a Toyota/Subaru EV right now. They have one at every size up to 3 row (though that's not available until tail end of the year). I have a Hyundai Ioniq 9, but would have gotten the new Subaru Getaway if I could have waited.
Great video on the subject but 3yo so a little dated on charging infrastructure https://youtu.be/Iyp_X3mwE1w?si=CvxKkXNpGFoG91Mj
Also, now is a great time to buy used.

@FlatFootFox loving our Forester hybrid we got recently. Not amazing mileage, but the AWD was a must for us needing a good vehicle for the snow (while our country still gets snow sometimes)
@FlatFootFox e-golf was great. Id3 was a better drive, but the touch screen was fucking horrible. Would not recommend
@FlatFootFox I got a Polestar 2 - it’s a nice ride. The android tech stack is not great - wired CarPlay is good but wish it did wireless.
@richm I had a Polestar 2 too! Android Automotive on an old Atom is less than ideal, but at least it stays out of your way mostly with CarPlay. Unfortunately mine got totaled this week (we’re all fine), so I’m trying to figure out if I want to replace it with another one or try something else.
@FlatFootFox Sorry to hear that but glad you're all safe! If you buy a new P*2 they are kitting them with Snapdragon instead of Atom now - some people are DIY upgrading older models with it and have had success: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PePGwoPjvgg

@richm I *really* hope this becomes an option in the US. Right now I’m eyeing a used 2023 Polestar. I would try to splurge for a 2024, but there ms not much on the used market right now.
