verdict: sodium nitrite has a mildly saline taste and its unsurprising they put it in cured meat... potassium nitrite tastes like Sour and cartoon poison

@imbl potassium chloride is kinda like that but less poisonous. can taste that

@imbl its a salt substitute for people with sodium intolerance so you can get it pure
