Some double-hires goodness on a VGA monitor (a2Vidga card), CGA monitor (Taxan 410-64 RGB card) and monochrome security monitor (composite output) all from the same Apple IIe.
All I need now is a cat on top of one of these monitors.

Notes: the Samsung CK4644 CGA monitor displayed here has developed a new issue this week, losing some of colors from time to time. I may have broken something while moving it around - a gentle tap on the side and it mostly comes back to normal, so maybe a cracked solder joint or something else is making intermittent contact now.
The (also Samsung) security monitor is very new compared to that 1989 CGA monitor, being barely 22 years old and definitely not period accurate for this Apple IIe. But the size and shape fit well and if this was an Apple IIe Platinum so would the color.
Speaking of a cat (Boxcat rival) thinks it's a comfortable warm box.
