Built myself a little IPv6 Wireguard RoadWarrior VPN in my own AS.

Speed is okay'ish and I can use it to easily get a real IP inside my own IPv6 subnet over an IPv4-transported tunnel 🙂 Great for legacy networks like many hotels or in german trains.

@Larvitz
Thank you for sharing your ASN journey.

Taiwanese High Speed Trains and Hotel WiFi as well. 🤣

@goetz I now can always get an IP from my own network, over any IPv4 connection that allows me to establish a WireGuard tunnel. Took me a few hours to get it stable ... (MTU/MSS issues that took me way too long to find :-))
Problem is you can only do that if you have dual-stack on your own network. Some of us have IPv6-only networks.
@kasperd Not a problem in my case. My VPN endpoint also has a v6 address 🙂
The problem I have is that often I need to connect to an IPv6-only VPN server when I am connected to an IPv4-only hotspot.
