inspired by @pikesley 's recent graphics noodling i have fully removed the #tildagon badge from its electrostatic bag, peeled off the sticky cover from its dinky round screen, and connected it up to the Thonny IDE, where i am looking at its repl in a spirit of "now what" - graphics, sensors, both?

I never got the micropython drivers for the thermal camera working properly, but this would be incentive to have another go, display either an object/background readout with the single-pixel one or an extremely low-resolution heatmap with the 16x16 one

Or maybe the ultrasonic distance sensor driivng the LEDs, though that's a chonky thing to put on an already chonky badge

Anyway i ordered a couple of these protoboard hexpansions https://www.tindie.com/products/jakew/protoboard-hexpansion/ and can now stop thinking about it until they turn up :)

@zool I have never done anything with a Hexpansion, I will be watching with interest 😎
@zool I have one of these https://openmv.io/collections/cameras/products/openmv-cam-h7-r2?variant=39399410106462 kicking about the place doing nothing, and now I have An Idea

@pikesley :) i've been making a probably career-limiting conscious effort to avoid doing camera-based work; telling myself the thermal camera is different, but in a lot of ways it isn't... it's this
